Living for Jesus as His Servants

2 Corinthians 5:15 reminds us that “He [Jesus] died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.” (NLT) We begin to Live for Jesus when we begin to serve others. We encourage everyone to serve individually, with our families, in our Communities, AND in what we like to call Ministry Teams.
There are many active Ministry Teams at NCC. And here are some helpful steps to take as you find a place to serve:

Step 1: Finding your SHAPE

Every Ministry Team member should serve on a team that fits their SHAPE:

Spiritual Gifts
Heart (Desires)

We know Living for Jesus in your “sweet spot” is an incredible joy. So why not take about 20 minutes and consider how God has already SHAPE’d you to Live for Jesus. Click on the PDF File below and it will open in another window. Print it out and then complete it to find out how God has already gifted you to serve.

Step 2: Serving in your SHAPE

Now that you have a sense of your SHAPE to serve, it’s time to find out more about each Ministry Team.

The Ministry Team Handbook is organized by our discipleship plan of:
– Coming to God
– Walking with the Word of Life
– Connecting in Community
– Living for Jesus

Before you consider which team to try, take a moment and think about how you would like to help someone as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Many of our servants find it very satisfying to help other disciples grow in the SAME area that they are growing. And that’s why we ask, where are you growing most as a disciple?
