What are the Beliefs at Norwin Christian?

With Jesus as the owner and head of the church (Matthew 16:16,18; Ephesians 1:22), we are a free congregation, not ruled by a headquarters or hierarchy, but self-governed by leaders with faith and spiritual maturity (1 Timothy 3:1-13). We further choose to operate under these three basic positions: 1. We are Christ-Centered: A saving, personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only requirement for belonging to His church. 2. We are Bible-based: Because it is the inspired Word of God, the Bible serves as our only authority. Both the Old and New Testaments form the entire revelation of God, but the New Testament is the agreement given Christians to live under (2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:20,21). 3. We are unity-minded: We strive for unity in purpose, spirit, and practice. We seek to be a church like that in the New Testament as we focus on the foundational truths of Christianity. “There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope when you were called-one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all” (Ephesians 4:4-6). Therefore, we seek to wear a name on which all followers of Christ can unite – to be known as Christians only (Acts 11:26; 1 Peter 4:16). Neither Catholic, nor Protestant–we are just Christian. This spirit is found in the motto: “We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only.” For a more in depth explanation of Norwin Christians's Beliefs please visit the Beliefs page found here .

What does a Typical Worship Service Look Like?

A typical worship service opens with few worship songs, led by our worship band. The music is typical of what is heard on Contemporary Christian radio stations, such as K-Love. We follow that with a time of Communion each Sunday. Communion is offered to all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior. As the trays are passed, take a piece of bread and cup of juice Following communion, we sing a few more songs followed by a Bible-based time of preaching. We typically close out the service with an additional song or two.

What about Security for my Child?

The safety of our congregation and children is of utmost importance to us. Because of this every child through 4th grade needs to be registered through our electronic check-in process. You will be provided a code for each of your children and one parent receipt to be presented as you pick up each child. If your child needs you during the service, your code will appear on the screen. Your child will enjoy age specific ministry better than our adult service and you will have a more fulfilling worship experience. Please stop by our Welcome Center in the front entryway for assistance in registering.

Where Should I Park?

We have a large parking lot to accomodate everyone who attends Norwin Christian. In the front we have designated spaces for first time visitors. Behind the church building we have parking spaces for those with children which are near the rear entrance.

What is a Communicator Card and what do I do with it?

At NCC we have weekly Communicator Cards as part of the bulletin that you will get as you enter the main worship area. We ask that you fill a card out to the level of comfort so we have record of you attending with us on that Sunday. If it is your first time attending, at the end of service take the Communicator Card to the Welcome Desk inside the main entrance. There you will recive a small gift (30oz. NCC hot/cold tumbler and a Star Bucks Giftcard). As a thank you for joining us.
