NCC has been growing spiritually and numerically over the last few years, and we believe the addition of a full time worship minister will help us reach even more people for Jesus.  
 
About the Worship Minister position: 

The worship minister, along with the preaching minister, has the primary leadership in leading the congregation to corporately glorify God in our services. The worship minister will coordinate all details of the service and make sure the musical and technical aspects help support its theme. The worship minister will oversee song selection, media presentation, sound, lighting, instrumentalists, and vocalists. He or she will lead the congregation by heart and skill.  

 
The Full-time Worship minister’s responsibilities include: 

• Plan and lead God honoring and inspiring worship services in partnership with the preaching minister 

• Have responsibility for the worship team, worship tech team, and for all technical aspects of the worship service and the technical equipment in the worship center 

• The technical aspects of our current worship service include: Countdown, slides, livestream, and the digital bulletin 

• Serve as the leader for the worship team (Instrumentalists and vocalists) and the worship tech team (Sound board, slides, lights etc.) 

• Recruit and develop volunteers to serve with the worship team and worship tech team 

• Serve as a pastor and spiritual leader to both teams and all who serve in the Worship ministry 

• Lead special worship nights throughout the year 

• Support other NCC ministries by making and editing videos that will be shown during service and posted on social media 

• Act as a liaison between the mission team and visiting missionaries who are speaking at NCC to insure the technical aspects (slides, sound, live stream) are in place for the missionary’s presentation 

• Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and weekly service review meetings 

• Serve under the leadership of the elders and executive minister and have a collaborative posture participating with the staff “Team”. 

• Provide music or conduct weddings and funerals as needed 

• Participate in NCC small groups, NCC outreach events, and fully join in the mission of NCC

• The ability to lead a team and handle disagreements and conflict 

• A humble attitude – Always ready to learn and grow 

• Able to read music and teach others 

• Able to lead worship from a keyboard or a guitar 

• A self-starter with a strong work ethic 

• A team player with a positive attitude 

• A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and the worship ministry 

• Leads worship by worshipping 

• Seeks excellence in the flow and structure of each service 

 
Preferences: 

• Appropriate music and ministry training 

• A bachelor degree is preferred 

• Some years of experience is a bonus 

• Experience at a church of 300+ would be helpful 

• Experience with worship and service programs (Pro Presenter and multi-tracks) 

• General sound / technical troubleshooting 

• Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a large congregation in worship 

• Competence in the tech side of worship: Sound, lighting, computers, video projection, and livestreaming platforms 

• Ability to incorporate other art forms as needed
